Terms of Service

1. Who we are

PropPal ("PropPal", "we", "us") is an AI-assisted aviation maintenance information service operated by [Legal Entity Name], [entity type], registered in [Jurisdiction]. You can reach us at contact@proppal.com.

2. What PropPal does (and does not) do

PropPal retrieves information from manufacturer documentation and other authoritative sources, and uses AI models to generate answers to questions you ask about aircraft maintenance and operations. It is a research and reference tool.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate information when you register and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at contact@proppal.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account.

4. Acceptable use

You also agree not to:

• Use PropPal to perform or assist with any activity that would violate aviation regulations, safety rules, or applicable law;
• Scrape, crawl, bulk-download, or otherwise automate access to PropPal outside of the intended user interface and documented APIs;
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, circumvent, or disable any rate limit, paywall, or security feature;
• Upload or submit content that infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
• Use PropPal to build a competing product, train a competing AI model, or redistribute our retrieved content outside of your own reference use;
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your certification status.

We may apply fair-use protections at the tier level (for example, soft limits of 30 queries per hour and 200 per day per user) to preserve service quality for all users.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected at purchase), or as a one-time charge for the Inspection Pass. Prices are shown on our Pricing page and may be updated from time to time; changes take effect at the start of your next billing period.

You can cancel a recurring plan at any time. Cancellation stops future billing — it does not refund amounts already charged except where required by law. After cancellation, your access continues until the end of the current billing period and then lapses. Your chat history is retained for 90 days after cancellation, then deleted.

Pack lock policy. When you add a manual pack to your hangar, it remains assigned to your account for 30 days before it can be removed or exchanged. This applies regardless of plan.

6. Free queries

Every new account receives 10 lifetime free queries, usable against any available manual pack. Free queries are non-transferable, have no cash value, and expire if your account is deleted or suspended for violation of these Terms.

7. Content and intellectual property

Manual pack content is drawn from public-domain documents, licensed manufacturer materials, and user-submitted content under applicable personal-use terms. PropPal's software, interfaces, indexes, embeddings, and trained models are owned by PropPal and protected by copyright and other laws.

Answers generated by PropPal may be used for your own maintenance and operational decisions, subject to the acceptable-use rules above. You may not republish, resell, or redistribute PropPal-generated content or use it to train other AI systems.

8. Disclaimers

PropPal is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or availability. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any answer will be correct or complete.

Aviation maintenance involves significant safety risks. You are solely responsible for verifying any information retrieved through PropPal against current authoritative sources and applying certified professional judgment before acting.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PropPal and its operators, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or aircraft value, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of PropPal will not exceed the greater of USD $100 or the amount you paid to PropPal in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold PropPal harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the service, or any maintenance, inspection, or operational decision you make based in whole or in part on information retrieved through PropPal.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if continued service would create risk to other users or the platform. You may close your account at any time from your Account settings or by contacting us.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify active users by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction], excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in [Venue], and you consent to their jurisdiction.
